hi rob and all
i have one big problem with fuel . i am running a 900cc honda fireblade motorbike engin in my stylus sounds very nice in the garden but as soon as im out on the road with engin underload. im ok till 6000 rpm then starts to missfire the carbs are ok so not sure if i have right fuel pump or if i need to rejet the carbs . my question is does anybody knoe of anybody with a firebleade engin kit car that can give me some advice pls. the exhaust was from bgh that had the fury and the airfillter is a papercross.i donot have a swearlpot as i only thout that was for racing witch i will not be partisipateing in yet . one thing im looking into is to have the at a tuners but not found on yet that can do anything for me round here yet

Ian,

If the engine hasn't been used in a car before, you will need to re-jet the carbs, since you are now (presumably) running without the bike airbox and with different exhaust setup. You should be able to DIY this once you have the jets. The guru of all things bike-engines in cars is Andy Bates of AB Performance (01449 736633). Give him a call, and he should be able to sort you out.

thanks for info had a good chat with them its cost me lol but i think they have sorted me out, just waiting for goods now. hope it all works there was more to it than i thought, well its all learning aint it lol, he told me i should get 0 to 60 in about 4secs but top end is about 130ish not bad for a bike engine

Good news, Ian.
If anyone knows anything about FireBlade engines, it is Andy. And yes, he likes a chat :D

My previous kit car was a Westfield with a Blackbird engine in, and it was a hoot, so I think you'll enjoy the 'blade.
