Guys, i need some advice regarding the above, once i've made it a bit quicker i will want to stretch the old girls legs competetively, are there any rules against flat bottomed steering wheels and quick release steering wheels, it will also make it easier to get in and out of for normal road use and its a good anti theft device as well, the reason i ask is when i was karting both of the above were not allowed for no apparent reason, so before i waste any hard earned can anyone shed some light please.

The only rule I know of regarding steering wheels is that it can't be a partial perimeter , i.e. open wheel at the top . Quick release and flat bottom is no problem. If you intend to compete then join a club , get yourself a non race national B licence plus MSA blue book and all the answers will be in it.Cerberus wrote:Guys, i need some advice regarding the above, once i've made it a bit quicker i will want to stretch the old girls legs competetively, are there any rules against flat bottomed steering wheels and quick release steering wheels, it will also make it easier to get in and out of for normal road use and its a good anti theft device as well, the reason i ask is when i was karting both of the above were not allowed for no apparent reason, so before i waste any hard earned can anyone shed some light please.
