Rear dampers

Is there anyone who can tell me if the rear dampers on the escort axle are the same lenght as the fronts (mine are). Looking at the pictures of the finished cars there is about 2 to 3 inch above the tyres to the arch. Mine the arch is level with the top of the tyre, the damper is almost fully extended. I have the Protech dampers and the bent lower arm.

Hi

my rear shocks are an inch longer than the fronts, but my lower arms are straight, i think with the later bent arms the shocks are even longer

If you have curved lower links then you need 14 inch shocks/9 inch springs . Phone Tim ssc to check. It's desiged to give you more travel without bottoming out therefore better grip/handling.

Rob(I run 14 inch and 8 inch springs but had to cut the arches to make use of the adjustment)Image

While working on the car this weekend decided to recheck the length and found them to be 14". I must have suffered a blonde moment when checking them the first time with the jack still under the diff. Phone and left message for Tim appologising to him. What a Kno* Head.
