Hood to screen piece needed

Post by Nissanman »

With what looks like no more parts available for at least a while from SSC I'm in need of the piece that attaches the hood to the top of the screen. If anybody has one of these and their not using it would be much appreciated. I can get a hood made up locally if I have to, but I presume I need this bit to make it all fit properly.....
Cheers

Alex (se7vensport) has one, he won't sell it but maybe we can use it for a mould to make others :!: i think we will have to go down this route for other parts as well  I am seriously thinking about making a mould of my front end, rear wings and doors

The only trouble is the skiving git is in OZ until next month  8)

I also have the part, but won't sell either. I also have the classic body, inner body, bonnet, bootlid, doors and headlamp backbowls the way they were delivered. So ideal for making moulds from.

Not somehting I am keen on as it should be a lot better that a descent company like fisher runs the stylus. Then all this wouldn't be needed.

I would be interested in a mould of the screen top for the hood if anyone can make it, or may try and make one moulding the top of the screen myself but that will have to wait until the car can go back in the garage. Don't think I should have knocked down the old garage. Brickie starts in a week to build the extention thank god, the car is under a tarp just now looking sad.

It's fibreglass, but you won't be able to make it up out of nothing as it's curved all the way.

Can you not take a mould from the top of the screen?

Still searching for an answer to this one. If there is anybody who could lend me one to take a mould from I would really appreciate it, I've email Tim but I don't expect to get an answer ......

i would speak to Fisher. The fury uses the same screen as the stylus and is basically all the same shape around that area. They are very helpful and will do what they can for you.

Yup - did that, I can buy one for £45 and if it doesn't fit then return it ..... so I may have to do that.

i would do that! i measured up a fury at Exeter show for the dash board. The dash is the exact same size and fit for the Stylus, as is the screen and a hell of a lot of the other components too!

I would be very supprised if it doesnt fit! Keep us updated though for others in the same situation i.e. Me!

I thought they are nearly the same car, with the Stylus having slightly different front wings and a boot.
