i have some cobra roadster seven seats. which i love. and really want to fit, problem is i dont fit the car if i fit them.
im wondering whether to lower the floor so im not sat so high in it.
has anyone done this before, what do you think
westfield do this as an option, cant see that it would be that hard

If you intend competing then those seats are really heavy , probably 5 to 8 kgs each . Better to fit an unlined f/ glass seat with a high back to support your helmet and with harness holes . Mine weighs 2.5 kgs and holds me tightly which is what you want when steering . Strangely they are really comfortable due to their body shaping . I paid £90 for mine .

Floor has been lowered before, usually in steel rather than ali, particualrly to every V8 engined car which has the pedal box & tunnel modified too.
Have a look at my uncles, V8 build on this forum.
The mods were done by Nev Powell in Liphook - well known to most of Sylva owners in the S.East.
Give him a call ... 07712 128561.

Hmm. not much useable detail in Ken's V8 build section.
I'll see if I can take some better pics & post them on the forum.

Calm down how much do I want for them there will be lots of 0's in the amount starting with 0 and ending with 0 and some more 0000's in between. PM your email address and will send a PDF or the Cad file to look at. If it is any good go for it. I printed it out on a bit of A3 and cut it out and folded it up and taped the joints and it does look good. I could mod it if you wanted to make changes to it. The harness holes are going on the sizes Rob gave me as not able to measure mine just now so they may need moving slightly.

Here is a jpg of the seat plan cannot post the pdf here will email them when a bit more time. the quality of the image is not that good as used an online convertor. You should be able to print it out and fold and make the model thats what I did. If you want it moded in any way let me know and will do that for you no probs.
