Re: strange issue with pad knock-off

Pad knock off is usually found when on track high speed cornering. If you are suffering at low speed then something is moving relatively easy. Maybe a flexible brake line too short putting pressure on calliper.

Re: Poly bush group buy

If you add up the dimensions of the outer sleeve and the polybush it comes to the same length of the inner sleeve. The inner sleeve needs to protrude both ends. Looking at hints to there installation the inner sleeve should protrude by 0.02" (0.5mm). I can see the dimension 1.5+ but how much +?...

Re: build manual

Not sure how far the build has progressed before you purchased it. I'm sure Matt has a basic build manual which you could follow.
Stylus kits have been built how there owners view them. There has always been differences between each car built depending on there preferences.

Re: Fuel tank removal

The easiest way would be to fill the tank with water and into the filler neck.
Then use your oscillating saw to cut through pipe. You will get a bit of water in the boot but no sparks.
Drain tank and remove.

Re: Mike Burke's old car...

As far as I can recollect mikes car was built using a fury chassis and the body was brg gelcoat. Not sure when it was upgraded to a zetec. Mike changed the car colour to red and upgraded the engine to this state of tune before selling it to a guy in France as he was moving back to Oz. I'm sure other...

Unassuming Hero

Watching a program called 'Saved' on ITV last night. The end of the show gave a clippit of next weeks episode.
Lo and behold a familiar face appeared. Regulars of the Liphook monthly meeting might already know who this hero is.
Watch next weeks episode to find out.

Re: Number plates

Hi Rob, according to the DVLA all number plates on vehicles registered from 1st Jan 1973 should be of reflective material. They were an option from 1968. Hope this helps.

Re: BMW Mini headlights

I used the H4 Headlight purchased from a 911 breakers yard. They come with either chrome or painted . They might fit as a direct replacement otherwise you will need to fabricate clips etc. to attach them. There is a post re the mini headlights saying they are not square on so fitting could be not th...
