Re: Christmas has come early..
Hi Norma, I know it's a while back but I'm interested in your exhaust manifold. Did you get one made up, where and what price did you pay if you don't mind me asking.
Thanks Pete..
Thanks Pete..

Re: Progress at last!
Excellent photos, just spent the first hour of my working day looking at them. Problem is now I want to go home and play in the garage and its only Monday!! Can't wait to see this car in the flesh, the colour seems to change quite a bit in different lighting.

Re: flywheels and starters
Presumably there is a limit to how light you can go with flywheels, anybody know what it is? The Tiger flywheel is now not going to be used but replaced and I don't know how light is too light. I've found companies selling steel (not lightened cast) ranging from 3.2kgs to 6.8kgs. On my 2.0 Zetec I h...

Top rocker arms
My chassis is circa P.Powel so the top rocker arms are of the pressed steel type (wide in the middle, tapering to the ends). My question is, are these the same regardless of wether I am using the sierra or escort upright? I am using the sierra upright (thought I'd have more scope for brake upgrades,...

Race car registration
As the roads seem to be getting worse and the bills (insurance/tax) are going up, I was considering only using the car on track/test days and competition. How do you register a race car? does it have an IVA or just scrutineering?

Retro fit independant rear suspension
Has anybody tried/succeded in retro fitting independant rear suspention to a live axle chassis?
Sierra difs seem to be easier to obtain than escort ones.

Whats the best sticky stuff?
I am part way thru a flip front conversion and I will soon be attaching the formed fillets that bonnet lands on along with the ally slats along the bottom edge, that guide the bonnet sides into the correct position. I tried using mixed resin to attach ally to fibreglass once and it just wasn't very ...

Re: More work & £££ !
Slightly off topic, but what is that material you are using as a screen? I've been looking for some sheeting that will hold its shape after heating to make inner wheel arches. How did you shape that?

Re: Wishbones etc
I made an adjustable panhard rod for mine a while back but I just used a single handed thread. The pitch of the thread means I can get close enough that it makes no difference in setting up, but the main reason I used a single handed thread was because if the lock nut fails/loosens then the first th...
